Among pet lovers, the desire to rear one, like dogs, is impeded by their sense of cleanliness. Truly, some pets are irritating because of their unavoidable activity to generate mess. Some dogs also do not appear appealing and clean physically. Apart from that, some dogs do not inspire those who have a high sense of cleanliness.

A White Yorkie, however, is different. Notably, Yorkie dogs are created small and light. By their size, it is easy to handle them. Yorkie can easily be bathed. Yorkie also have long yet straight and silky fur. Their fur even grows stronger and silkier as they grow old. Such feature is perfect for a White Yorkie. Imagining a Yorkie with pure white silky, straight and long hair will make the dog more lovable. More importantly, white yorkie appears very clean and pure.

For sensitive people interested in rearing a pet, White Yorkie is the best choice to try. Aside from the cuteness of the dog, it is also cuddly that will make one always eager to play with the pet. Having the cute and cuddly dog white will even make the pet lover exert more effort in making the dog looks even cleaner. These will eventually build friendship between the two. Rearing a white yorkie will also help a sensitive pet owner from irritation from mess. This is because mess and unwanted spot can be seen immediately and cleaned easily.

Cuddling with White Yorkie is definitely a quality time. One can freely hug and carry white Yorkie everywhere without fears of being dirtied. It also incites inspiration for some undecided of rearing a pet. Furthermore, it attracts attention because of the beauty and cleanliness obviously displayed by White Yorkie. Having White Yorkie really brings more than luck.

Pets can be treated as humans. Dogs have heart too. But compared to human, dogs always keeps a heart as pure as white. Though humans can have pure heart, they cannot resist temptations and cloud their heart with hatred and envy. But dogs are different. A mere touch of their fur already means a lot for them. They show their love by being loyal and obedient. Dogs can also play and cuddle with their masters. They show skills to entertain people around them. More importantly, they give back the love to their masters without anything in return. Dogs can be trusted. They also know several things that please their masters. And, they endeavor everything just to make their master smile. Like other dogs, Yorkie have a heart as pure as white.

White Yorkie grooming can be quite expensive. These beautiful dogs have long, flowing silky hair so it is best to have them groomed to attain that ‘White Yorkie look’ as much as possible.

Whether you bring your white yorkie to a professional groomer or not, basic grooming is a must. Only a few have achieved the kind of presence they want for their dogs, and it is a shame to have your dog – a white yorkie – walking around the house, greeting guests looking unkempt and worse, giving the impression that he is unloved by you.

In grooming a white yorkie, you as the owner must consider the basics: which dog food helps him have that shiny hair and good health, and the kind of grooming aid you should use.

There are shampoos made exclusively for dogs, so it is better to buy one that best fits your white yorkie. Shampoos we use can smell good on them, but some of the ingredients might be harmful for his skin.

Not only that, it might not work wonders for his hair, too. Of course, grooming aids consist of dog shampoo, hair brush or comb, and other things needed in white yorkie grooming. This may sound a little too vain for the little one, but you had better think again.

Some white yorkie owners tend overlook facts dog foods give. You must examine the ingredients before purchasing it, and realize its benefits for your dog.

A healthy dog food not only satisfies the white yorkie’s appetite and health- it should do good for his physical appearance, too.

We should also include the white yorkie’s hygiene as part of his grooming. You have to be sure your white yorkie’s skin and hair are free of ticks and fleas. Always make it a habit to brush his teeth after every meal – as we humans do.

Grooming a white yorkie should be an enjoyable for him and his owner. This activity should be considered as a way of showing your dog how beautiful he is. A beautiful, healthy dog always attracts people in a very positive way, though.

If you want to join your white yorkie in a dog show, flaunt his best features by good grooming, and make him stand out from the rest. Just because he comes from a reputable pedigree alone won’t make him win.

There are times that when a white yorkie ‘misbehaves’, his owner automatically thinks he is really misbehaving on purpose. Little did the owner know that there may be something wrong with his dog?

I think many people before labeling their white yorkie a bad dog would be wise to consult a vet or someone who thoroughly understands white yorkies. This is to find out whether there is some physical reason for the white yorkie’s unpleasant behavior before attempting to clean him.

A good example is this: many dogs, even white yorkies, are deaf without their owners knowing it.

This may be caused by canker, or by some inherited factor. Make sure that your white yorkie does hear you when you call him before labeling him a ‘bad dog’.

Generally speaking, pain the ear can cause a dog to snap without warning: he is frightened you are going to hurt him. Many unsuspecting white yorkie owners clean inside their dog’s ears as a routine, thus causing the white yorkie’s eardrum to become inflamed.

Ears should only be wiped clean on the external parts; it is extremely dangerous to try to clean delicate parts inside it.

Ear drops will do anything that is necessary without poking with your finger, which is far too thick to be safe.

Grooming a white yorkie with painful ears can cause him so much pain – so do you wonder that he bites to protect himself?

Sometimes injections by the vet can leave residual painful swelling which the owner fails to notice, and the white yorkie bites when you touch his shoulder, perhaps. Make sure this isn’t the case before you decide that your white yorkie is vicious.

Well, white yorkies get headaches and have off days too, like human beings. Be certain your dog is quite well before labeling him as stubborn when he doesn’t obey you quickly. If he has a cold nose and no temperature you can reasonably sure that your white yorkie is in good health, providing he has not diarrhea.

But always go by the look in his eye; a dull eye means something is wrong.

A too sleepy dog usually indicates indigestion. Be sure your white yorkie’s diet is right, and he gets plenty of raw meat – for that is a dog’s natural and best diet.

Another important in white yorkie training is to retrieve an object – which I think most white yorkie owners should teach their white yorkies. Its practical advantage is that if you happen to be out walking and drop something, your white yorkie will go back and look for it and retrieve it.
Most of the white yorkies who were trained for this were given a dumb-bell for the first time, rush after it and joyfully pick it up. Some even bring it back to their owners.

But it is these eager white yorkies who are the first to get tired of doing it, and who have to start all over again later, so we are going to teach our white yorkies the right way from the beginning and ignore their natural desire to retrieve, which may soon diminish if not properly directed.

First of all, we use a dumb-bell, because it has big ends to make the center bar stand up off the ground; this enables the white yorkie to pick it up easily.

The white yorkie must never be allowed to pick it up by the ends or chew it. At home I keep my own high up on a shelf, and as I give it to my white yorkie, I use an excited tone of voice as if it were the greatest treat to be allowed to retrieve dumb-bells.

We begin with the white yorkie on the lead at the ‘sit’. Gently open the white yorkie’s mouth by inserting your finger into the side of the mouth where there are no teeth, immediately behind the large canine tootj, always keeping your hand on top of the white yorkie’s nose, not trying to pull down the bottom jaw.

Don’t push the dumb-bell back into the white yorkie’s mouth – just balance it behind the canine teeth, and allow the white yorkie to close its mouth on it.

If you shove it roughly into the mouth you will frighten and hurt the white yorkie, and your task will become more difficult. Should the white yorkie try to spit it out, as most of them do – put it firmly back with the command ‘hold’.

To help him do this, scratch his chest with the other hand, for white yorkies will hold dumb-bells for a long time so long as this pleasurable scratching continues. Always take it out of the white yorkie’s mouth with two hands, holding the ends, never with one hand only.

Repeat this, making the white yorkie hold the object until he does quite so happily.

You would imagine that in training your white yorkie, with all the noise and bustle, would be the very last way to cure a nervous white yorkie. But it works out otherwise.

You would imagine that in training your white yorkie, with all the noise and bustle, would be the very last way to cure a nervous white yorkie. But it works out otherwise.

Training a white yorkie is never that easy, believe me. It is extremely hard for the owners not to give in immediately, chiefly so as stop the noise, in case the neighbors think they were being cruel.

The truth is that it is cruel to give in, for the white yorkie has then allowed its nerves to get the better of it. Shut thy ears and go on compelling the white yorkie to do what you want, praising and stroking encouragingly all the time.

The reason is that there is so much going on all around it that the white yorkie does not know what, specifically, to be frightened of, and soon pays little or no attention to hurrying feet or a bounding white yorkies.

I have a neighbor who had an adorable show white yorkie the other day who would not hold his tail up in the show ring and thus lost the prize card.

Another friend of ours suggested that they just come and stand in the middle of the room with all the white yorkies going round. We took them there, and, in a happy, cheerful voice, encouraged them to come for a romp.

In no time, up went their tails, and I hope they will now win the much sought after prizes.

On a serious note, white yorkies suffer from inhibitions and fears we do not understand. They are waiting for a lead from their owner, and if the owner can transmit to them his confidence in them, that is half the battle.

I hear so many people say ‘I know my white yorkie won’t do this or that’. In my mind I say ‘if you trust your white yorkie he will. Especially if you know how to instruct it’, and that is the secret, mutual trust and belief.

It means you must train yourself first before you can train your white yorkie. If you have zero confidence in yourself, your white yorkie knows it.

Therefore, I suggest that before you start to train a white yorkie, you should read as much as you can about the efforts of other trainers, if possible see how it is done, then go and do your best to carry out all the 20 exercises – convinced that success is not far off.

Why is that I feel that there is so much politics in this world and it even reaches our canine friends; I somehow find it confusing and ultimately ridiculous. A White Yorkie deserves the same love and care as any dog.

What is all this fuss about the right and wrong Yorkie? Sure enough politics even covers our innocent dogs. White Yorkies, the cute little things, treated as something substandard.

It’s just funny. I have looked at different websites, some dog books and reference materials and somehow I’m still a bit dizzy about the white Yorkie.

A lot of breeders say that a specific type of White Yorkie, the part yorkie, has been recognized by the AKC for about five to six years. However, some that may be called extremists post information that the White Yorkie is a substandard breed and nothing but a common mongrel. I have read in a website that a group of Parti Yorkies have been DNA tested for authenticity as a purebred Yorkie. “…42 times DNA’d” somewhere and then that document stated that after all the DNA testing, the White Yorkie has been counted as recognized and registered. Offspring of AKC registered CH Rolls Royce Ashley and Rolls Royce Corniche have proven documentation for AKC registration as Parti Yorkies.

I have tried to verify with the AKC trying desperately to find some sort of document that recognizes the White Yorkie. Maybe I haven’t found it yet, or maybe there is none. The White Yorkie is not even on their breeds list nor on the reserve stock. With the YCTA, I read that they have changed the breed standard to recognize that a small white strip of white no longer than an inch is acceptable and no more than that.

I’m more puzzled now than when I was when I first started researching for fun. If the dog gods were watching this exchange of documentation, they should have bitten these people from different organizations. A dog, is a dog is a dog regardless of the breed, mixed genes and politics.

I’ve taken care of pure breds for some years now. I remember, one time, one of my mixed breed males managed to escape the cage and scurry outside. Together with friends, we looked for the dog fearing it might have been caught by the pound, have gotten lost or might have ended up in someone’s plate. We looked for hours and hours until we gave up. I still looked around for a few more hours then finally found him or maybe he found me. He ran to me like a lost child who just located a parent.

I mean, Pure bred or not, I still give the same love, attention, medical benefits (no pun intended) and whatever I can to any dog that is under my supervision. What kind of person will give a half bred mutt lesser attention compared to other pure breed dogs.

Despite all the controversy with the White Yorkie, it’s still a cute and beautiful breed that gives unconditional love to the owner every single time. It’s unfair for white Yorkies and all the other half breeds in the world. Good thing they can’t read.

Disclaimer: This article is purely the opinion of the author’s, who is not claiming the article should be considered an official information source.
